RBB VTR-mobile
VTR-mobile for Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB)
To create a VTR-mobile for the RBB, Wellen+Nöthen used a vehicle with a long wheelbase and a total weight of 3.5 tons. The van was equipped with a monitor wall facing the direction of travel, 7 LCD monitors and a 2.8-meter-wide table. Three cross-frames house two Sony MSW-2000 and a Sony DVW-2000 VTR, a Sony MAV-555 and a non-linear Sony DNE-2000 editing system complete with PC. Video/audio patch panels, video/audio distribution and conversion technology from Snell&Wilcox and peripheral technology were also installed. 32 x 32 digital crossbars from Network are used.
Air conditioning is provided by a Konvekta split air-conditioning system. A dubbing facility with side table has also been provided in the passenger area. The van is primarily used for editing and play-out with broadcasting vehicles.
