SNG Mallorca
Four SNG and production vehicles for the Spanish TV service provider Molde S.L.
All in all, four UP-Link vehicles based on the 4.5t Mercedes Sprinter were designed and developed. An Aurasat system from the English firm Sat Comm is used for the aerial system, which features redundant Tandberg encoder systems, Xicom amplifier systems and suitable emergency switchovers. Part of the broadcasting system is a controller system that includes automated alignment of the aerial with the required satellites.
All production vehicles are equipped with two 16:9/4:3 switchable Sony cameras and also come with the option of 2 Tandberg wireless camera units. Recording, play-out and image editing is performed via DVC PRO 50 broadcast recorders.
In the rear of the Sprinter is a Panda generator, delivering 12 kVA of independent power from the converted boot space. A dual air-conditioning system was also set up that can handle the climatic conditions of Mallorca and creates pleasant working conditions.
